PTFA
We're looking forward to the launch of our Stanford Primary PTFA in September! Take a look below at all of the work the Infant & Junior teams have done in previous years.
Stanford Infant PTFA

The PTFA is our Parent, Teacher and Friends Association.
All parents/carers and staff at Stanford Infant School are automatically considered members of the PTFA. It serves an essential role, firstly by providing a sense of community and secondly by organising events that raise funds for the school to buy the extras that we would not be able to afford from the normal school budget.
WELL DONE!

How to contact us:
Classlist.com
As a parent or carer, you can request to join us on Classlist.com. This is the online communication tool for all things PTFA-related: find out about our events, meetings, and how to get involved. You can also send us an email: stanfordinfantsptfa@gmail.com. Or catch us in the playground!
The Treasurers can now be contacted separately at:

Class Reps are a vital link between the parents and carers and the PTFA so you can always ask yours for more information.
How to find out what we are up to:
Sign up to Classlist.com, check your SchoolPing updates from the school, check the noticeboard in the lower playground, and speak to your Class Representative.
Come along to our meetings if you can and if you can’t, you can read our minutes.
Our most recent meeting minutes can be viewed here.
We always welcome help and support:
The PTFA welcomes all offers of help throughout the year. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who wants to get involved in our bi annual Raffle and Silent Auction and anyone who could help with design and technology. There is plenty to get involved with though, so any help is much appreciated. It’s a great way to meet people and have fun and you can get involved as little or as much as you’re able to. Please also try and come along to our termly meetings that are crucial to organising events.
More information on the roles within the PTFA can be found here.
Events
The PTFA organises lots of different events throughout the year; film nights, disco's, family bingo and many more!

We also take part in other fundraising events such as collecting clothing for Bag 2 School who pay us based on the weight of the bags we donate.
What does the money buy?
Our PTFA events are key fundraisers that provide essential money for our school. The school increasingly relies on our support to offset Government cutbacks to help provide our children with a stimulating and enriched curriculum.
Funds will always be made available to subsidise school trips, replace playground items and of course keep the books available to children plentiful and up to date. Over the past few years funds have been used for the development of our amazing Forest School to enhance the capacity for outdoor learning at Stanford Infants, as well as providing new technological resources for the school. We were fortunate to be able to fund a whole school trip to the i360 in 2022, which allowed the children to celebrate all together after an unusual few years.

Are you up for doing a bit more?!
Email the PTFA and volunteer to help at an event. All the events are completely managed by a team of parent and carer volunteers and ultimately more hands make light work!
Attend a PTFA meeting. Meetings are held termly, it’s a great way to meet people, learn a little bit more about your school and help do your part in raising extra cash for the school.
Take your outgrown uniform to our preloved uniform box, located outside the office. Parents and carers can donate and pick up preloved uniform, donations welcome to the PTFA but not required.
What has the money been spent on?
In the last two years the PTFA has improved the school by purchasing:
- An iPad for every classroom
- Playground equipment
- Equipment sheds for the playground
- Preloved uniform box
- Cushions, bean bags and rugs for the library
- New equipment for both Nests
- Year 6 snacks to get them through the SATs week and revision
- Staff room coffee to keep the teachers going!
